How does our foresight method work?
We examine trends and emerging issues, map the system and explore plausible futures. Scenarios help decision makers consider contingencies and strategic options.
- Map the system. Identify the factors, actors and perspectives that matter to the question.
- Understand the relationships. Use structural analysis to examine influence, dependence and drivers of change.
- Explore plausible combinations. Use morphological analysis to consider how influential drivers could evolve together.
- Build scenarios. Develop distinct accounts of plausible futures, including disruptive possibilities where relevant.
